So here's a great idea. Let's abolish all national requirements for driver education, testing, licensing, and eye exams. Eliminate legal repurcussions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Anyone of any age in any physical condition (Legally blind? Severe narcolepsy? Tipsy? No problem) can drive if they feel like it.
Instead, all drivers, bikers, and pedestrians will venture onto the streets knowing that they are fully and solely responsible for their own safety. If you're worried about drivers, take defensive driving lessons. Buy a tank that can withstand almost any impact. Or don't leave the house.
